A stretcher support for an ambulance, &c. comprises a frame having longitudinals 4 and transverse members 5 provided on their underside with rubber suction cups 6 to prevent lateral displacement of the support when it is resting on a floor. Rubber stops 8 or hinged stops 9 may be provided for positioning the stretcher which may be secured in place by straps 7.
