Abstract

760,231. Direct connections between conductors. PEPPERS OF WOKING, Ltd. Nov. 26, 1954 [Aug. 26, 1953], No. 23625/53. Class 38 (1). Flutes are provided on one or both parts of a two-part spigot-and-socket cable connector so that the metals flow together and a firm connection is made when the parts are pushed together. Preferably and as shown, flutes are provided on the spigot 12 of a copper member 4 which is connected to a copper conductor (Fig. 3, not shown) and co-operates with an aluminium socket 2 connected to an aluminium hightension cable (Fig. 3, not shown), a washer 14 being interposed between the two parts.
