757,583. Drafting textile fibres. SPINNFASER AKT.-GES. Nov. 24, 1954 [Nov. 28, 1953], No. 34076/54. Class 120 (3). Artificial fibres are drafted in a four-roller drafting head with a first draft of less than 1.3, a second draft of less than 1.05 and a third draft sufficiently high to provide the required attenuation and preferably above 2.2. It is stated that drafts of 1.25, 1.05 and 4.6 gave a particularly uniform sliver. The spacing of the two middle pairs of rollers may be shorter than the fibre length.
