Abstract

756,873. Windows. GREEN, K. M. Feb. 18, 1955 [Nov. 19, 1953], No. 28724/53. Class 20(3). A window, both faces of which may be cleaned from the room interior comprises an outer frame 2 and an inner glazed frame 1 connected at opposite sides to it by scissors members 3 having studs 4 slidable in slots in slides 5, 5<SP>1</SP>, slide 5 being fixed to frame 2 and slide 5<SP>1</SP> carrying a pivot pin 6 journalled in frame 1. Angle bars 7 serve as fixed abutments along the top and bottom of the window opening and movable vertical abutments 10 at the sides are hinged so as to be accommodated in recesses 11 to permit the inner frame to clear the outer on being inverted. The two frames are drawn into co-planar relationship by rotatable dogs 12 on the outer frame, which by means of a screw-threaded pin 13 operable from inside are first turned to engage a limiting stop 14 on the inner frame and then drawn in to bear on both frames in alignment.
