Abstract

756,034. Spring drum. HARWOOD, C. D., and CLANG, Ltd. April 22, 1954 [Jan. 26, 1953], No. 2186/53. Class 78 (2). A spring drum 1 carrying cable 2 is mounted in a casing 5 attached to a lamp socket 25, there being a notched wheel 12 fixed for rotation to the drum and engaging with stop member 16, which latter extends through the casing for manual operation to release the drum. As shown, stop member 16 slides in grooves formed in fixed block 17 and is pressed inwards to unlatch the drum. The electrical circuit from socket 25 passes to cable 2 through strips 26 and through springs 23 carried by the drum.
