753,428. Aircraft seats. BLACKBURN & GENERAL AIRCRAFT, Ltd., LAIGHT, B. P., and CHAMBERS, H. G. Sept. 21, 1954, No. 27311/54. Class 4. In a tandem seating arrangement in aircraft the rear seat 2 is mounted on a transverse pivot 7 whereby the seat may be tilted forwardly to the position shown to provide the second member 4 of the crew with a forward and downward view equal to that obtained by the pilot 3. The seat frame 6 carries an arm 8 coupled to a jack 9 which is controlled by a manually-operated valve (not shown) and is connected also by a linkage 10 to a lock 11, loaded by a spring box 12, so that initial movement of the jack frees the lock before tilting the seat.
