Abstract
752,755. Transformers and inductors. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Aug. 10, 1954 [Aug. 13, 1953], No. 23224/54. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XL (c)] A band-pass filter comprising two coils 11 each wound on a former 13 and having an adjustable ferromagnetic core 15, the stray fields of the coils being reduced by ferromagnetic rods 17, 19, 21 surrounding the coils, is characterized in that the coils, formers and rods are all secured, by means of an adhesive to an insulating wall member 5 arranged at right angles to the base 1 so that their axes are also at right angles to the base, the wall 5 passing between the coils 11 and partially surrounding them. The wall is thus approximately S- shaped. Capacitors 23 are also fixed to the wall 5 and are used to tune the coils 11. The elements are housed in a screening can 25.
