Abstract

750,691. Junction-boxes. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A., and HILL, W. E. March 18, 1953 [March 27, 1952], No. 7840/52. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XXXVII] Means for mounting switch fuse units in a metal box 9 comprise a metal plate 1 having two brackets 2 secured to it on which the switch 4 is mounted, and tapped holes 10 so that the fuse block 12 receiving screw-in fuses 13 can be screwed to the plate. Keyhole slots 6 in the plate engage with the heads of screws 7 secured in saddles 8 in the base of the box. The fuse block may, alternatively, receive fuses 16 with end tags 17 (Fig. 6, not shown) mounted according to Specification 708,321. To mount a fuse unit only, the plate 18 is I-shaped, the unit receiving screw-in or end-tag types of fuses, keyhole slots 19 and tapped holes 20 being provided as before (Fig. 9), or the plate may be formed as a frame.
