Abstract
750,386. Hot-water boilers. LA MONT INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION, Ltd. Sept. 8, 1954, No. 26043/54. Class 64(1). In a forced-circulation hot-water boiler in which the flue gases from a combustion chamber 7 lined with water tubes flow upwardly in one pass and then downwardly in a second pass, two banks of tubes 5, 11 are arranged one in each gas pass, so that the water to be heated flows through the tube bank 5 in the downward pass, then through the tubes in the combustion chamber 7, and finally through the tube bank 11 in the upward pass. The tubes which cover the combustion chamber floor, sides and roof lead from an intermediate header 8, and have throttling devices at their inlets to ensure equal water distribution.
