745,123. Band clips. ROBINSON, J. S. L. Dec. 5, 1952 [Sept. 7, 1951], No. 21163/51. Class 44. In a hose clip of the type in which a flexible metal strip 5 is tensioned by a worm 3 mounted in a housing 1 fixed to one end 6 of the strip and engaging teeth cut into the other end 7 of the strip, the wall 2 of the housing 1 is formed with a single slit 10 which extends almost completely round the worm so as to enable a portion 11 of the wall 2 to be pressed inwards to engage in a groove between the worm and the worm head 9. According to the Provisional Specification the worm is held in place by a lug, strip or other member which may be integral with, or fixed to, the housing. Specifications 682,935 and 708,444 are referred to.
