Class 92 In a link for a disintegrating cartridge belt, of the kind comprising arcuate cartridge-engaging arms a<SP>1</SP>, c, c<SP>1</SP> Fig. 2. two c, c' of which extend in the same direction from central connecting part having vertical portions b integral with the outer side edges of the arms a<SP>1</SP>, c, c<SP>1</SP>, the arm a<SP>1</SP> is formed with a central indentation a adapted to be located between the two arms c, c<SP>1</SP> of an adjacent link, the arrangement being such that the cartridge is gripped at the indentation a whilst the arms c, c<SP>1</SP> of the adjacent link can turn freely on the cartridge beneath the sides of the arm a<SP>1</SP>. The root ends of the sides of the arm a<SP>1</SP> have extensions a<SP>2</SP> bent to lie underneath the box-like formation provided by the portions b and the root ends of the arms, and the root end of the indented portion a is slit at its edges a<SP>3</SP> to form a resilient tongue a<SP>4</SP> adapted to grip the cartridge but allow radial ejection thereof. In another form the outer edges of the arms 12, 13 Fig. 10 have stiffening flanges 12a which provide abutment faces for axial ejection of the cartridge. In addition instead of slitting the root end of arm 10, it is cut back to form a notch 10f and a notch 10g or an aperture 10h Fig. 13 (not shown) is formed in the outer end of the arm. A C-shaped clip 15 is located on the arm 10 with its ends 15a, 15b engaging in the notches and one or both ends being adapted to engage the cartridge resiliently.
