Abstract

741,629. Strap fastenings. ZAFERMAN, G. July 7, 1953 [July 11, 1952], No. 18848/53. Class 44. A fastening device for a belt 10 or similar article comprises the interlocked strips 11, 12 of a slide fastener permanently joined together and adapted to be attached to one end of the belt &c. to form a continuous track, and a slider 16, adapted to be attached to the other end of the belt &c. arranged to slide along the track and having means operable to engage the hooks 13 of the track whereby the slider may be locked to the track at any desired position. 'A lever 23 pivoted at 22 on the slider has two staggered teeth 25 arranged to engage with the hooks 13. The strips 11, 12 may be sewn together as at 14 and are secured to one end of the belt 10 by gluing or sewing. The slider 16 is secured to the other end of the belt 10 by a ring 17.
