Abstract

741,405. Mixing. SMITH & WELLSTOOD, Ltd. Oct. 18, 1954 [Oct. 26, 1953], No. 29469/53. Class 86. [Also in Group VI] A mixer unit 3 is detachably coupled, e.g. by a bayonet connection, to a mincer 1 and is driven by a dog 15 on the mixer spindle 14 engaging a slot 16 at the end of the feed worm 17. Gearing 13, 11 and 12 drives two spindles 7 for the beaters 8. The spindles 7 have stepped shoulders 9 to engage like driving steps in the spindles 11. The spindles 7 are held up in contact by balls 19 held in notches 18 by circlips 20. The handle 2 has a slot 21 so that its effective length can be varied and clamped by the nut 22.
