741,091. Tappet shedding mechanism. LINEN INDUSTRY RESEARCH ASSOCIATION. Feb. 22, 1954 [Feb. 21, 1953], No. 4898/53. Class 142 (2). The pivots F<SP>1</SP>, F<SP>2</SP> of the treadles T<SP>1</SP>, T<SP>2</SP> are' separated by a horizontal distance equal to the distance P between the heddles, in order that adjustment of the connectors a, a<SP>2</SP> along the treadles to alter the shed opening does not cause the bowls c<SP>1</SP>, c<SP>2</SP> to lose contact with the tappets during part of the cycle. The pivots F<SP>1</SP>, F2 are also separated by a vertical distance such that when the axes of the bowls c<SP>1</SP>, c<SP>2</SP> coincide, these axes lie on the same straight line as the pivots F<SP>1</SP>, F<SP>2</SP>. The yokes y are pivoted to the connectors a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> above and below the treadle shanks respectively, so as to be in a theoretically correct position in relation to the bowls c<SP>1</SP>, C<SP>2</SP> and pivots F<SP>1</SP>, F<SP>2</SP>.
