Wall panels, for assembly on a site or foundation, are each made up of an external covering and an internal lining mounted on a frame which projects, or has portions which project, beyond the covering or lining for attachment to adjacent panels or other building elements by bolts or screws, without removal of any covering or lining or the interposition of uprights. As shown, four wooden floor panels 1 each comprise a frame 11 covered by floor boards 21 except at its ends where the longitudinal frame members are accessible for bolting to adjacent floor panels by bolts 7. Three types of wall panels are provided, viz. plain, window and door panels 3, 4, 5 respectively, each of the same width as the floor panels and attached thereto by nails or pegs 8. Each panel comprises external weather boarding 23 and internal plaster &c. board 24 spaced apart and provided with frames projecting inwardly beyond the plaster board. The side wall panels rest at the sides of the floor and the front and rear walls rest on the floor and project above the side walls, which difference is allowed for when the roof is fitted. The wall panels are connected at the corners of the building by metal brackets 9 and bolts 7. Standard panels secured to one of the outer walls by brackets 9 may form internal partitions. Two hut assemblies may be joined together, Fig. 4, by omitting adjacent walls and bolting the ends of the wall panels to narrow wall elements 54. The ridge of the roof is supported by pillars 50 and ridge beams 52.
