736,334. Change-speed belt gear. WEBSTERCHICAGO CORPORATION. Oct. 30, 1953 [Oct. 31, 1952], No. 30084/53. Class 80 (2). [Also in Group XXXVIII] A magnetic tape T of a sound recording apparatus (see Group XXXVIII) is driven at one of two speeds by either a shaft 19 or an enlarged part 23 on the shaft which is moved vertically, by a handle 26, to engage or disengage the part 23. The tape is pressed against the shaft by a spring-urged roller. The take-up reel 32 is driven from the shaft by a belt 34 which is kept taut by a spring-urged bracket 35.
