733,469. Pneumatic conveyers. KENNEDY VAN SAUN MANUFACTURING & ENGINEERING CORPORATION. Dec. 21, 1953, No. 35484/53. Class 78 (1). In a pneumatic conveyer for transferring powdered, granular and like material from a storage container through a conduit to a depository or place of use of the kind in which pressure fluid, such as steam or air, is admitted to the container and to its outlet, the distance through which the material is transferred is increased by the insertion in the conduit of a conical casing 27 having nozzles 28 mounted in its larger end through which pressure fluid is supplied. The nozzles are mounted in an annular plate 29 and are in communication with an annular groove 34 formed therein to which - pressure fluid is supplied through an opening 42 in an annular plate 41. This plate is welded to one end of a tubular member 44, the other end of which is flanged and bolted to a corresponding member 47 screwed on the conduit 10. The narrower end of the casing is connected similarly to a coupling member 55.
