Abstract
732,604. Inductors. TANAKA, L, and GOTO, M. May 14, 1963, No. 13571/53. Class 38 (2). A goniometer or like device comprises a stator having a toroidal iron dust core 1 with an endless winding 2 thereon and a rotor also having an iron dust core 3 with an endless winding 4 thereon. The rotor is rotatable about an axis 7 at right angles to the planes of the stator and rotor and in one embodiment the rotor is within the stator. The rotor is held relative to the axis 7 by means of two disc members 8, 9. In another embodiment the stator is divided into two parts disposed in two parallel planes with the rotor in a parallel plane between the two parts, the rotor being of larger or smaller diameter than the stator portions. In all the embodiments the endless windings may be uniformly distributed or the stator, or rotor, or both windings may be sinusoidally distributed. The cross-section of ,the cores 1, 3 may be other than circular.
