731,707. Bags. SLATER, Ltd., J. E., and DEIGHTON, S. H. May 28, 1953 [Nov. 11, 1952], No. 28351/52. Class 94 (2). [Also in Group XV] The flap 11 of a gramophone record envelope has side portions projecting beyond its central portion and is shaped between the side portions so as not to overlie the sound track of the record. Preferably the edge 14 of the flap has a curvature which is substantially concentric with the record. Two or more of the closed edges of the envelope may be thickened throughout their lengths so that pressure between adjacent containers is borne by these edges and does not affect the sound track of the record. This thickening may be constituted by spacing strips 23, or by one or more gussets 18, 19 formed by the side edges of the envelope or by separate strips secured thereto. The envelope may be partitioned as at 30. The envelope is secured by engagement of tongues 15 in slits 16. Openings 21 are provided for anchoring the envelope in a filing cabinet.
