[Also in Group XXXVI] An insulator 1 is secured to a post by means of a U-shaped bracket 2, the base of the U being embedded in the insulator and the free ends being formed into coils 3, each of which includes two complete turns. The sides of the bracket are inclined so that the two coils overlap, the centres of the coils or one turn of one or both coils being slightly out of alignment so that the coils frictionally grip the post to which they are applied.
