Abstract

727,351. Couplings. EICHLER, H. G. Feb. 6, 1953 [Feb. 8, 1952], No. 3343/53. Class 38 (1). A battery connector comprises an element 1 of springy metal, a yoke 2 movable longitudinally in grooves 8 in the element arms 5a, 5b, and a lever 3 eccentrically mounted on a pivot pin 6. The element 1 is placed over the pole of a battery and the end of the cable 7 to be connected is pushed in the space 4 between the yoke and the arm 5a. The lever is then pivoted so that it bears on the arm 5b, thus clamping the connector on the battery and the cable to the connector.
