725,341. Heating liquids by electricity. NEUERER, H. March 11, 1953 [March 11, 1952], No. 6742/53. Class 39 (3). An electrically heated ceramic vessel, e.g. a porcelain coffee pot, has an electric heating element 7 embedded in its wall 2 and/or bottom 1, a thermostat responsive to the temperature of the walls of the pot being provided to switch off the current to the heating elements when a predetermined temperature is attained. When the element 7 extends upwardly of the wall 2, a feeler 5 connected with the thermostat is arranged at the level of the topmost wire of the element 7, preferably in a cylindrical bore 4 in the wall 2.
