Abstract

719,800. Counterbalanced platform. JOLIS, H. Jan. 30, 1953, [Feb. 1, 1952.] No. 2697/52. Class 78 (2). Load 24 from rollerway 23 passes on to platform 14 and actuates stop 19 to release catch 21 so that the platform descends and discharges the load on to rollerway 30, the platform being restored by spring 31 and counter balance 18 to receive the next load which has been temporarily checked by levers 26. As shown, levers 26 are operated by abutments on the platform, and the platform at the discharge point is tipped by spring 28. Two such descending apparatus may be used in series, the load being discharged from one and fed to the other.
