Abstract

714,311. Insulation for dynamo-electric machines. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. July 22, 1952 [July 27, 1951], No. 18534/52. Class 35 Formation of corona between the conductor insulation 14 and the slot walls 12 in a highvoltage machine is prevented by covering the outer surfaces of the conductor insulation with a semi-conducting paint 16 and coating the previously cleaned slot walls with a similar paint layer 17 so that both semi-conducting layers being in close contact, the outer surface of the conductor insulation is securely earthed to the core. The core laminµ may be individually insulated.'
