713,392. Electric supply systems for vehicles. BOSCH GES., R. Aug. 12, 1952 [Aug. 31, 1951], No. 20225/52. Class 38(4) In a supply system for a vehicle comprising a dynamo 10 which may operate in conjunction with a battery 19 and wherein there is provided (1) a charging cut-out 16 having a reverse current coil 17 and (2) an automatic voltage regulator 13 for the dynamo having shunt and series control coils 15, 14, respectively, the load circuit 23 is connected to the junction between the series coils 14, 17 when the system is operating without a battery and to the cutout terminal 22 when the battery is included in the system. By this means the regulator setting may be the same irrespective of whether or not the battery is present.
