Abstract

712,915. Cartons. BOXFOLDIA, Ltd. Aug. 27, 1952 [Aug. 30, 1951], No. 20457/51. Class 18 The end of a carton for lamp bulbs &c. is closed by a panel held in place by inwardly folded flaps joined by gussets. In one embodiment, the panel 28 is integral with the carton and carries wings 31 which are enclosed between the flaps 21 and the carton walls. Tongues 27 on the flaps enter slits 32 in the panel edges. The closure may be separately formed. The closure may have a hole for engaging the contents or may be scored as in Fig. 5 to permit it being given a slightly domed shape for this purpose. Both ends of the carton may be closed as described or one end may have closure flaps as shown in Specification 706,393. The carton may have three or more sides.
