Class 7(2) An apertured tube 1 and a casing 3 define a space for a soundabsorbing lining which comprises a layer 2 of chemically inactive fibrous material having fibres of long length relative to glass wool, e.g. a rope-like layer of glass silk, around the tube, and a filling 5 of glass wool. The tube 1 may have 16 perforations # inch diameter per square inch of tube surface area.
