Class 5 (2) Bird cages are made of thermo-plastic material, such as a styrene or methyl methacrylate resin, in two parts integrally united by cementing adjacent medial ribs 14, 15 on the two parts. Each moulded half comprises a side and end panel 18 connected by top bars 30 to the central rib. Bars 22 are formed in each panel above the lower continuous part 19. The base opening is formed with complementary supports and grooves for a dropping pan, and openings and guides are formed at each end for feeding and drinking trays-64. The trays may be compartmented and formed integrally with perches 65. Swinging perches 82 may hang near the roof, and fixed perches 90 may be supported between the bars 22. The barred portion of each side panel encloses an opening which may be closed by a slidable door 70.
