Abstract
697,420. Mounting terminals. LONGFORD ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Aug. 30, 1951 [Aug. 3, 1951], No. 18456/51. Class 38 (i). A terminal for making a fluid-tight connection through a partition 1 comprises a rod 3 formed at each end with a loop 4 adapted to have a lead secured thereto, the rod being sealed in an insulator 5, e.g. of glass or porcelain, in turn sealed in a flanged bushing 8. The bushing is fitted in an aperture 9 in the partition with its flange 11 located in a rebate 10, an annular space being formed between the flange and the rebate to receive sealing material 13. In the embodiment shown, the material is solder, the bushing and partition being metal.
