Abstract

692,431. Machines with permanent magnets. BUYSSE, A. J. T. April 25, 1950 [July 20, 1949], No. 10176/50. Class 35. A hub dynamo has a casing 18a with bearing sleeves 18b located one on each side of the dynamo, the casing being so arranged that the stator and rotor are mounted independently of the casing so that the bearings can be adjusted without displacing the rotor relatively to stator. In order that the spokes of the cycle wheel are all of normal length the hub sleeve 18b has at each end a number of holes arranged in a circle to which the spokes 19 are engaged. The rotating permanent magnet ring 13 is mounted on the spindle 10 by means of a disc-shaped member 14 and secured to the hub sleeve 18a by a coupling-screw 17.
