[Also in Groups XVIII, XXIV, XXIX and XL (b)] A reversible step-by-step motor comprises a ratchet-wheel 401 which can be stepped in either direction by electromagnetically-operated pawls 410, 409 playing between stops 416, 417 which are adjustable together and individually adjustable stops 414, 415. A spring-pressed pin 423 holds the wheel in any set position.
