690,365. Pulverulent-fuel furnaces. BABCOCK & WILCOX, Ltd. Sept. 5, 1951 [Sept. 6, 1950], No. 20943/51. Class 51(i) A cyclone furnace is provided with a substantially cylindrical furnace chamber 1 which receives through one end a rapidlywhirling mixture of air and fuel and through its side additional air directed so as to whirl in the same direction as the mixture, the additional air being introduced in end regions of the chamber. The additional air is introduced through nozzles 7, 8, the widths of which radially are adjustable.
