Abstract

689,990. Electromagnetic vibrators. BOSCH GES., R. Nov. 22, 1950 [Nov. 24, 1949], No. 28532/50. Class 35. [Also in Group VIII] In a liquid vibrator for laundry purposes the vibrating diaphragm 11 is slightly dished to increase its rigidity without increasing its thickness. The core 16 of the vibrating electromagnet is fixed inside the conical casing 10 while the armature 14 is secured by a bolt 13 to the centre of the diaphragm which is clamped out of its edge by a ring 12. The diaphragm may be conical or of curved section and increased movement may be achieved by having a corrugation round its edge where it is gripped by the casing.
