[Also in Group XXX and XXXI] A vehicle guiding device in which guide rollers G fixed to a vehicle run along vertical or inclined surfaces S in fixed relation to the runways is provided with one or more discs D which rotate about an axis parallel with the vehicle wheels R and run in a groove or grooves C in fixed relation to the runway and the arrangement is such that on clear roads or tracks the vehicle is guided solely by the rollers G and guide surfaces S but at crossings or the like where the guide surface S is interrupted the vehicle is guided by the disc or discs D engaging the groove or grooves C. The discs D are provided with flanges E to support the vehicle should the pneumatic tyre of the load-carrying wheels R be punctured.
