683,457. Spray-producers. GOUMENT, V. O. May 10, 1951 [April 2, 1951], No. 7548/51. Class 69 (iii). Automatically operated spray apparatus for sterilizing air in water closets includes a liquid receptacle with a lid carrying an eduction tube having a non- return valve at its lower end, a bulb or air pump, with non-return valves at the air inlet and outlet, connected to an air tube which delivers air across the outer end of the eduction tube to effect spraying, and an auxiliary bulb between the bulb or pump and the sprayer. The bulb or pump is operated, as a door is closed, by an arm secured to the door, or by a lever and spring device which operates the sprayer when a door is opened. Alternatively, the bulb or pump is placed under a mat which, when trodden on, operates the sprayer, or it may be placed under a water closet seat or under the operating arm of a cistern.
