682,958. Violins &c. BARKER, J. A. Nov. 9, 1950 [Aug. 10, 1949], No. 20783/49. Class 88 (ii) [Also in Group XXIII] A sound-post setter for violins &c. comprises a curved bar of metal, wood or plastic with a hook 12 at one end. The sound-post may be secured in the hook by means of a single or a stranded wire 10 one end of which slides in a tube along the edge of the bar. The other end of the wire is fitted with a control knob 11 which is accommodated in a recess in the handle 8 of the bar. The ends of the wire are stiffened by soldering.
