Abstract

680,803. Ammunition projectiles. OFFICE NATIONAL D'ETUDES ET DE RECHERCHES AERONAUTIQUES. April 26, 1949 [April 30, 1948], No. 11068/49. Classes 9(i) and 9(ii) A projectile for use against aerial targets contains two or more charges adapted to be exploded at different times, the first charge 2 being fired by a proximity fuze 1 and the remaining charge or charges 3 being fired at a predetermined interval after the preceding charge by means of a time relay 4. A chamber 5 contains the motor system and guiding apparatus. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, comprises also a system in which the charges are housed in separate projectiles, the first missile being teleguided and having means for transmitting acoustic, electromagnetic, infra-red or other guiding waves to be received by apparatus in the succeeding projectiles. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
