Abstract
A hand tool of the kind on which a revolvable lining wheel is mounted upon the head end of a paint container so as <PICT:0680208/III/1> <PICT:0680208/III/2> to receive on its circumference a supply of paint for lining tubes and other surfaces comprises two lining wheels mounted independently on a head with sensitive resilient pressure enabling both wheels to operate together and equally upon a surface to be double lined, each wheel having independent resilient compensation relative to the surface and to each other. Referring to the drawings, head 2 of container 1 carries lug 3 with gaps 4 and 5 which contain lining wheels 13 and 14 supported on axles 15 and 16. The lining wheels are acted upon by resilient devices 17 and 18 which normally press the wheels forward which comprise a compression spring 20 and a pressure peg 21 which contacts the side of an axle by engaging a small cavity 22 therein thus securing the axle against axial displacement while leaving the independent resiliency of the turning wheels effective. A pair of supporting guiding and tipping wheels 30 and 31 are fixed on a rearward rigid extension of the lug 3. Specification 635,811 is referred to.
