Abstract

Aircraft canopies are made by casting thermo-setting resin in a mould of which at least one wall is transparent to ultra-violet light and polymerizing and hardening the resin by passing ultra-violet light through the mould wall. The mould is made by forming three thermoplastic lamin to the required shape and removing the middle one, the two outer lamin then forming the walls of the mould.
