An optical lens comprises several sections of the same or substantially the same thickness assembled edge-to-edge, the sections being so formed with grooves or indentations and being assembled in such order as to produce a lens of the Fresnel type with grooves or indentations, on one or both surfaces thereof, whose sides differ in inclination in a systematic manner from one groove or indenation to another or from one series of grooves or indentations to another series thereof. The description is substantially identical with that in Specification 670,575.
