Abstract

A liquid soldering flux comprises a heavy metal chloride, e.g zinc, tin or cadmium chloride; a fatty acid, e.g. stearic, oleic or palmitic acid; an amine hydrochloride, e.g. aniline hydrochloride or ethylene diamine hydrochloride; and one or more diols, e.g. 2 ethyl hexamidiol 1:3; 2 methyl pentamidiol -2 : 4, 2 methyl pentamidiol-1 : 3 or dipropylene glycol. It may also contain water or an alcohol.
