664,457. Holders for discharge tubes. GOLDSTAUB, H. H. June 13, 1946 [May 14, 1946], No. 18479/49. Divided out of 629,285. Class 38 (i). [Also in Group XL (a)] In a valve-retaining means of the kind disclosed in Specification 602,741 having a rigid ring-reinforced net to embrace a valve envelope, the net is made of woven or crocheted glass fabric, and the diameter of the ring is greater than that of the valve envelope. A ring a is covered by a fabric b, the ends of which are joined at c to provide an inner edge d which engages the valve envelope. The edge d can be reinforced and holding-down devices can be attached to the ring at h. Alternatively, Fig. 2 (not shown), two discs of fabric sewn round their peripheries cover the ring. The discs may be stamped out of the woven or crocheted glass fabric and then secured to the ring a. Specification 629,285 also is referred to.
