Abstract

661,480. Cable and wire couplings. SIRKE, C. March 3, 1950 [March 3, 1949], No. 5895/49. Class 38 (i). An interconnector comprises insulating members 1, 2 detachably or pivotally secured together, one on top of the other, the lower member 1 having embedded therein spaced conductors 5, 6 provided with needle-points 7, 9 at their ends so that leads 11, 12 inserted between the members are pierced by the needle points so that the conductors and the needlepoints connect the leads in series. Additional points 8 intermediate the conductor ends may be provided in order that a conductor 10 may be tapped thereby. Preferably the member 1 is grooved to accommodate the leads and the member 2 is secured in place thereon by screws 3 and nuts 4. In a modification, the member 2 is spaced by grooved integral end blocks from the member 1 and the intermediate points are dispensed with, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown).
