[Class 136 (iii)] [Also in Groups V, VII and XIV] Cover for a saddle consists of a complex of cells 1 located side by side which are separated by common walls 2 and are open on one side at least, the dimensions and elastic properties being chosen such that when vertical pressure is exerted the cell walls will flex before being elastically compressed. Modifications show cells of various shape with walls which may not be of uniform height.
