658,799. Lamp caps. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. Dec. 22, 1948, No. 33034. Convention date, Feb. 27. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XL (a)] A discharge lamp 11 comprises a vitreous refractory translucent tube 12 preferably fused quartz, magnesia or alumina to the ends of which larger glass chambers 15, 16 are sealed (see Group XL (a)). The chambers are completed by sealing thereon metal caps 18, 19 to which are brazed the lamp electrodes 13, 14 in a non-oxidizing atmosphere.
