658,332. Endless-chain mining machines. JIHOMORAVSKE LIGNITOVE ZAVODY, NARODNI PODNIK. Dec. 22, 1948, No. 33083. Convention date, Dec. 22, 1947. [Class 68 (i)] In an endless chain mining machine the chain jib, gear box and motor are mounted for sliding on a twin pillar supporting frame, each pillar of which has formed on its outer tube 6 a rack 5 along which may be moved a carrier 2 by a handle 3 and gearing 4. The carrier 2 supports the driving motor 13 and the gear casing 12 on the splined output shaft of which is mounted the chain driving sprocket that is mounted in a bearing carried in a fork piece adjustably positioned within the jib 11. The jib may be rotated about the output shaft of the gear box by a handle 16 and worm gearing 17. The means for adjusting the gear box and jibs are provided on both sides with attachments for the operating handles 3, 16.
