[Class 83 (iii)] A guide for indicating the correct angle at which to hold a file when sharpening the teeth of a saw comprises a metal bar tapered at the ends and having a transverse triangular aperture in which a handled file is held by means of a screw. One side of the aperture is inclined at a small angle to the vertical corresponding to the inclination of the teeth of the saw. The upper edge of the guide is kept horizontal while the file is moved backwards and forwards on the teeth.
