Abstract

647,622. Agricultural implements. WOLSELEY MOTORS, Ltd. Nov. 3, 1948, No. 28519. [Class 6(i)] Means for controlling the lateral swing of the three-link draught connection at the rear of an agricultural tractor comprise a pair of telescopic adjustable struts E each pivoted, at one end M to one of the lower draught links A intermediate its ends, and at the other end to an anchorage H on the tractor, the anchorages H and the points of attachment of the links A to the tractor all being collinear. Each strut comprises a tube with a rod F slidable axially within it, the rod being of reduced diameter over part of its length and threaded to take a nut N which forms an adjustable abutment with the end of the tube. To minimise shock, a buffer P, comprising a rubber bush bonded on each side to a metal washer. is interposed between the nut and the tube end. To lock the linkage in the central position, a pin T may be inserted through aligned holes in tube E and rod F.
