Abstract
643,471. Valve relay circuits. HARDIE, A. M., and METROPOLITAN - VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. June 24, 1947, No. 16657. [Class 40 (vi)] In a gating circuit, a normally conductive valve connected with its output circuit in parallel with the output of the gating valve is cut-off when the gate is opened so that the reduction in its anode current compensates for the increase in the signal current caused by the gating signal. The output of a multivibrator V1 is amplified by valve V2 and a positive pulse applied to the suppressor grid of gating valve V3 to allow the signal applied to the control grid to pass. A negative pulse taken from the cathode resistor of amplifier V2 is applied to the suppressor grid of compensating valve V4, cutting it off and thus reducing the current flowing in the common anode resistor of valves V3, V4 so that the output signal level is not changed due to the gating pulse.
