Abstract

641,314. Baby comforters. ROBERTS, D. March 27, 1948, No. 8896. [Class 81(ii)] A baby comforter is formed in two integral parts, one comprising the teat and a part of a flexible hollow shield and the other comprising a handle and the remaining part of the shield, the two parts together forming the complete article. Preferably the two parts are formed by rubber dipping, one part a comprising the teat 10, one wall 11 of the guard and a circular side wall 12 and the other part b comprising a hollow handle 15, the outer wall 16 of the guard and a circular side wall 17. The wall 17 is fitted inside wall 12 and the two parts are cemented or vulcanized together. In the form shown the handle comprises two disc faces with a peripheral side wall between them but, if desired, this may be modified by cutting a circular hole in each face and cementing a rubber ring into the annular channel so formed.
